The charitable foundation sponsors projects that support children, adolescents and young adults in the areas of art and culture, education, science, health and sports. Promoting renowned non-profit organizations around Munich and Germany-wide, children and young adults get to play a strong role in our society.

Founded by the film producers Bernd Eichinger and Thomas Peter Friedl and a pedagogic team in 1999, “Artists for Kids“ is a modern child and youth welfare project in Munich. It supports children and young people with preventive and creative projects. Until now more than 2500 children, young people and families have been intensively supported by the team of “Artists for Kids“ to start their and to overcome their personal challenges.

In a society which provides a constant flood of information and stimulus, IMAL offers young people space for experiments, art and culture and encourages them to develop their own ideas and works. IMAL is a lively space making learning enjoyable. The work is amidst the tension field of professional artificial work and youth welfare.

The mentoring programme “Balu and You” supports primary school kids in extracurricular activities. Young and dedicated people sponsor children privately for at least a year. They support the children to learn and develop by providing personal attention and organising active recreational programmes.

Roecklplatz is a restaurant that provides vocational training by combining social work and free economy. The restaurant offers young students facing difficult living conditions the opportunity to receive a challenging training in food service and catering. During their training the young people receive guidance and support from socio-pedagogical experts. Roecklplatz also helps them to find a permanent job at the end of their training.

Since 1987 McDonald’s Aid for Children has been supporting the health and welfare of children and their families. The charitable foundation builds and operates Ronald McDonald houses all over Germany providing homes close to hospitals for parents and siblings of children who are severely ill and hospitalised.

The concert series “Nymphenburg Summer” has a more than 250-year-old tradition. The Elector Max III, builder of the Hubertus Hall in Nymphenburg Castle, was the first to enjoy musical festivities and plays that were performed in this magnificent hall. The foundation supports young, highly-talented and often still unknown artists by hosting annual renowned series of concerts.

The society “Die Arche” was founded by priest Bernd Siggelkow in Berlin-Hellersdorf in 1995 to fight child poverty. The organisation operates recreational and schooling facilities for deprived children in various German cities. With the aim to make children strong, they organise recreational activities, holiday camps, homework assistance and learning support.

The foundation “Society for School” advocates opportunities for children and adolescents with educational disadvantages. Through different projects the foundation imparts values of togetherness and strengthens the children’s self-esteems by encouraging their talents. Its project’s topics focus on supporting social and learning behaviour, strengthening personalities and the transition from school-to-work.
