Background

In 2001 the shareholding family of Serafin Group sold the Augsburg-based Haindl'sche Papierfabriken KGaA, which had been under family ownership for 150 years. With a turnover of €1.6 bn and 4,000 employees, the company was a leading European producer of printing paper reels consisting of recycled fiber and wood. This entrepreneurial past is reflected in the guiding principle of Serafin “Verantwortung aus Tradition”, meaning that taking responsibility is our tradition.
